The Crypto.com Visa Card (EU) is a prepaid Visa card for people with a residential address in Europe, issued by Foris MT Limited. It is available as a virtual and a physical card; ATM withdrawals and in-store (POS) payments need the physical card. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported, and so is contactless payment.
How funding works: the card spends a EUR balance. Crypto (Crypto.com names BTC and ETH among the supported assets) is converted to EUR before it is loaded, and the card cannot hold crypto. You can also top up with a debit or credit card, which costs unknown. Money on the card cannot be moved back to the Cash Account. The minimum conversion amount is only shown in the app.
Tiers: there are five plans: Midnight, Ruby, Jade / Indigo, Icy / Rose and Obsidian. Midnight costs 0.00 EUR per month. Ruby costs 3.99 EUR per month or 39.90 EUR per year, and Jade / Indigo costs 24.99 EUR per month or 249.90 EUR per year. You can also unlock the tiers with a 12-month CRO stake instead. CRO rewards on spending go from 0 % on Midnight up to 4.5 % on the top tier. A paid subscription or a CRO lockup qualifies; you don't need both.
Costs to watch: for Midnight, the physical card costs 4.99 EUR and a replacement costs 45.01 EUR. ATM withdrawals above each tier's monthly free allowance cost a fee (Midnight: 200.00 EUR free per calendar month, then 2 % on the amount above it). After 12 months without activity, an inactivity fee of 6.00 EUR per month applies. Midnight pays a foreign transaction fee of up to 2 %, which is lower inside the EU & UK; Icy / Rose and Obsidian pay 0 %. Shipping fees may apply, but Crypto.com publishes no amount for them.
KYC: before your first top-up, you have to give extra information: expected annual transaction volume, annual income bracket and employment status. You can only order the physical card after that step.
